I designed and developed an 8-week professional development course for elementary school teachers working with English Language Learners (ELLs). The objective of the course was to help teachers develop skills and strategies based on best practices for instructing ELLs.
I designed two personas for the 8-week professional development course I developed for elementary school teachers working with English language learners. The personas were based on learner interviews and research.

Infographic
I used the principles of visual design to create an infographic that is aesthetically pleasing and interesting but still effectively shares relevant information on the topic of augmented reality.
Video Production
I used Windows Video Editor to create an informational video for Florida high school seniors who are interested in becoming a teacher. I used several open-source photos. I used various transitional effects in a way that would not cause a distraction. I used minimal text so as not to cause cognitive overload and allow viewers to process new information easily. I created a voice-over and added soft background music. I added optional captions for accessibility.
ScreenCast
I used Camtasia to create a quick tutorial on how to get started using Nearpod. I utilized features including zooming in and highlighting to provide users with an easy-to-follow tutorial.
Animation
I created this animation using Adobe Animate. This animation serves as a visual aid to explain how magnets attract and repel.
Web Design
I designed this drag-and-drop quiz using HTML and CSS. I wanted to create a simple phonics activity where students are asked to sort words based on vowel sounds. I kept everything simple as this was designed for second grade students. I wanted to use relaxing and subdued colors and fonts and avoid anything too noisy or loud.
Elevated presentation
I created this PowerPoint presentation using design principles and closely following accessibility standards. The result is a functional, engaging, and visually pleasing presentation.
Mobile App
I decided to create a simple quiz. Users are given a picture and asked to identify the sea animal in the picture. If they are correct, they get a checkmark. If they are incorrect, they get a red x. I also included a score chart.
